Story
Well here goes...
You may find this hard to believe but I'm taking part in the Great Manchester Run on May 15th, no I'm not the water boy, I will actually attempt to run the whole 10km, and its all for a fantastic cause!
As some of you will already know, on the 31st october I became an auntie to the most precious little boy named Buddy. However, half of the tears were for joy, half were worry, because my nephew was born 3 months premature at 28 weeks and weighed only 2lb 9oz! Immediately Buddys tiny body was hooked up to life saving equipment that kept him fighting and growing strong. Buddy is now nearly 5 months old, he's finally off his oxygen mask and he's at home where he belongs.
If it wasnt for these machines I dread to even think how different life could be today, which is why I'm going to work my fat ass off to raise as much money as possible to help other families like my own, and give premature babies the best possible start in life. Theres a massive demand for this sort of equipment, and thats where Medequip4kids steps in. Its a fantastic charity that helps provide hospitals with this life saving equipment.
This is going to be a massive challenge for me as I've literally done no exercise since I broke my neck 5years ago. I'm lucky that I've not been paralysed let alone running marathons!
So please donate whatever you can, every little helps! Not only am I doing this for the charity, but I believe in competition and I'm determined to beat our Dan!
Thanks for looking at my page, Buddy and me will love you forever x x x
