In September 2020 I found out I had won a place in the Miss Great Britain final, when I got the email me and Luke were out shopping. I remember him being so happy for me and opening the windows of my car on the way home to tell everyone we passed that he was in the car with Miss Doncaster GB. Although he was really sick by this point he swore that he was going to be at the final cheering for me. 

Unfortunately we lost Luke in January 2021 after a long journey with Ewings Sarcoma. I'll be competing in the final in September in the hopes that I can make him proud and use my platform to raise awareness not only to the terrible disease that took my best friend away but for the wonderful charity that helped him when he really needed them. Luke hoped we'd raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust after he passed, we've absolutely already done that and I will continue to do so throughout my life. The Teenage Cancer Trust were such a huge part of Luke's life, they took him in when he needed support, they held his hand and held him up and made sure that he was made to feel comfortable and safe. 

I competed in Miss Great Britain in Luke's memory, made the top 12 and won Miss Great Britain talent. 

I am now competing in Young European International Ms in February 2022. 

I don't want any young people to ever have to face cancer alone. The Teenage Cancer Trust ensures they don't have to. 

I will continue to compete in Luke's memory. I'll work as hard as he always did.
