For more than twenty years, Emmanuel International UK has been helping some of the world’s poorest communities in developing countries around the world.
The charity is built on a Christian foundation and uses this ethos to meet people’s spiritual, emotional, social and physical needs. We work with the assistance of local churches in each community we serve and have projects in operation in Brazil, Haiti, Malawi, Philippines, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
Our mission is to work along with people by implementing grass-root projects that give people a sense of dignity and self-reliance. All the projects meet the basic needs of the communities and use simple technology that is easy to replicate.
Some of our success stories include supplying fuel efficient stoves, rainwater harvesting tanks and provision of clean water, agriculture, food safety assistance, disicpleship training and support. We also provide relief and rebuilding assistance in our project countries - the earthquake (2010) and hurricanes (2009) in Haiti, drought in Northern Uganda and floods in Malawi being some examples.
