Story

Hi everyone,

A quick recap for those who don't know the story - In January 2010, our newly refurbished house experienced a major fire. In a short time, the house was completely gutted. It was a devastating time and took us (and our wonderful lawyers) a year of fighting the insurance company for the money to rebuild it. They finally paid up in June 2011 and we are half way through rebuilding our home and future.

In the middle of 2010, I said those fateful words:

"If our insurance company pays up, I'll run the London Marathon"

And they did (eventually), and so I am.

The charity I would love you to donate to are The Firefighters Charity. During that terrible day in January, we received the most amazing support from the London Fire Brigade who were kind, brave and supportive. I have a huge amound of respect for the job they do and would like to pay them back in a small way for what they did for us.

Please donate what you can for this amazing charity and give me some motivation to run the furthest i've ever run.

Many thanks

Emily/Emmy/Em
x
