Story
Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good. With clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, children are born healthier. They get the chance to go to school and grow up to become adults. Women and men get to earn a living. Whole communities start to thrive. It sounds normal and it should be.
This September, the HSBC/KPMG Challenge Himalayas 2019 will bring together 70 HSBC and KPMG employees to trek 75km through the Himachal Pradesh region in the Indian Himalayas - with all raised money go to Conservation International and WaterAid. I am proud to be part of this challenge and looking forward to it.
This is my second HSBC Challenge as the first one was the HSBC Arctic Challenge 2018 to Greenland. I was able to raise more than GBP3,000 in the last term and although I have started late this year, I am sure all of you can help me to raise a minimum of USD500. All donation will go directly to WaterAid, and for anything in excess to USD500, I will also commit to match dollar for dollar, by donating to Amazon Conservation Association to help on the recent Amazon fire. Your donation will thus make a difference in two parts of the world!
