Story
Hi, thanks for visiting my Just Giving page.
I am taking part in the Sue Ryder Ribble Way Challenge on 18/19 June. Starting at 6.30am on the Saturday at Ribblehead Viaduct in North Yorkshire, I will walk 100km (63 miles) in under 30 hours to finish in Preston on the Sunday. I will need a support crew to provide water, food, emergency care and clothing en route, but I'm considering going unsupported - carrying my supplies and collecting water along the way! As you can imagine, the challenge will not just be extremely physical but a massive mental challenge.
I'd really apperciate your support so please sponsor any amount however big or small to help raise funds for Sue Ryder Care. Sue Ryder provides nursing care for people with cancer, multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s Disease, Parkinsons Disease, Stroke, Brain Injury and Motor Neurone Disease.
£250 could pay for a nurse for 30 hours in one of the care centres/hospices. This means that every step I take along the Ribble Way Challenge will be one step further to providing a specialist nurse during that hour to care for someone in need.
Please, please, please donate what you can – I'll need it as a motivational reminder when my feet are wrecked with blisters!
Many thanks in anticipation,
Erica xx
