This page is in memory of Erin Lois Shee who was involved in a car accident coming home from college in May 2011 at the age of seventeen. The Emergency Services arrived at the accident site within minutes but when the extent of her injuries were realised, the Air Ambulance was deployed. Everyone on that day did everything possible to give her the best fighting chance of surviving her injuries.
Unfortunately for us it was not to be but as a family we were given three extra days with Erin to prepare to say our goodbyes. None of this would have been possible without the Air Ambulance, as Erin probably would not have made it alive to hospital if she had gone by road.
The air ambulance was one part of the incredible team that cared for Erin at the scene of the accident but it is the only one that receives no funding from the UK Government. We want to raise money to help ensure there is an air ambulance to help others. Erin was sporting in life so we will remember her with sporting activities to help raise money.
On 27th May Jim Sanderson (Uncle James) will be running in the BUPA London 10K. Times are hard but if you can find a little (or a lot) towards this charity then we know we are enabling lives to be saved in the future.
Jim ran the Fleet half marathon in March 2012 and we raised £385 so a big thank you to everyone who supported us..
