As some people know we are both participating in the 2009 Great North Run on 20th September. This is the first half marathon for Ersilia, and Liam's 5th Great North Run. We want to raise as much money as possible for The Lakelands Hospice in Corby.
Lakelands Day Care Hospice provides respite day care facilities for adults in North Northamptonshire, South Leicestershire and Rutland. Since opening in 2001, the Hospice has helped over 2000 families in the area and continues to grow in order to meet the great need for respite day care.
The Hospice relies entirely on voluntary donations and
support from the community to remain open. In 2008 Lakelands needed to
raise in excess of £350,000 to keep its doors open.
All we've got to run/stagger over 13.1 miles, all you've got to do is get some money out.
