<p>Hi / Symai !</p> <p><strong>Welcome to my personal Snowdon Challenge!</strong></p> <p>This year I have entered both the <strong>Snowdon Race</strong> and the <strong>Snowdonia Marathon</strong>.</p> <p><strong>The Snowdon Race</strong>,<em> (July 21st, 2012)</em> is one of Europe&rsquo;s toughest endurance challenges, the 10-mile race involves running from the edge of Lake Padarn in the village of Llanberis to the highest summit in Wales and England and back down.</p> <p><strong>The Snowdonia Marathon</strong> <em>(October 27th, 2012)</em> is a demanding and spectacular 26 mile route, encircling Snowdon.&nbsp; Voted as one of the best Marathons in the UK but also regarded as one of the toughest!</p> <p>This is a personal challenge, but to motivate myself I have decided to run both races in memory of 2 special people that we lost to cancer.&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Carwyn Thomas</strong>, one of my best mates aged 31 in 2006.</p> <p><strong>Gareth Hughes</strong>, my father-in-law, aged 56 in 2003.</p> <p>I am not setting any fundraising target.&nbsp; I'm running in memory of two fit and healthy men who lost their lives suddenly to this cruel disease, so any money I raise in the process to give to research into a cure or understanding of cancer is a bonus.</p> <p>To quote Muhammad Ali - <strong><em>'Don't count the days, make the days count'</em></strong></p> <p>Diolch yn Fawr - Thank you very much</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Eryl</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>PS - Wish me luck, I'll need it!!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
