I will be running a Half Marathon in aid of the specialist cancer hospital that is treating my mum - The Royal Marsden hospital.

I'd be thrilled if you could sponsor me on this run and join me in giving something back to this great hospital!

Read on if you'd like to find out a bit more about why I'm doing this...  I'll try to keep it brief.

As you probably know by now, my mum - Ana - has started a course of chemotherapy treatment which will likely last until December.  She is currently being treated at the Royal Marsden specialist cancer hospital in London.

At every stage so far the Royal Marsden and its staff have been exceptional.  Her treatment and the care shown by her team has been excellent.  They're attentive, supportive and respond immediately to her needs.  We're confident she's in the best possible hands.  More importantly, she feels this too.

I'd like to show a little support for the Royal Marsden in return for the brilliant support they're giving mum.

I'll therefore be running a Half Marathon (21km / 13.1miles) to raise funds for their charity - the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.  The run's on Sunday 25th July with a riverside route from Windsor to Marlow and, no, I've never run one before...!
