Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Many of you know my dad. For those who don’t know him he was always very outgoing, loved holidays and was always the life and sole of the party. He and mum always put on the best party’s with enough food and booze to keep the DO going until the early hours. Dad even got his bus/coach licence so he could take his friends and family on great weekend brakes. He would also take us kids on the top rollercoaster’s.

Dad has now been diagnosed with PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) it is a degenerative brain disease which affects eye movement, balance, mobility, speech and swallowing. http://www.pspeur.org/care_and_support/what_is_psp/

Dad finds it different to talk now and isn’t too steady on his feet. Over time PSP can rob a person of the ability to walk, talk, feed themselves or communicate effectively with the world around them, yet they usually remain mentally alert.

PSP gets worse over time and not enough is known about it.

Many of you know I love my sport, netball, rugby etc but I hate long distance running. However to raise as much money as I can for PSP i’m entering the 10K British London run on the 8 July

Please give now so more research can be done for this horrible disease.

Many Thanks Esther
