My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Who are we? A group of 10 friends of mixed cycling abilities looking to complete a Stage of the 2012 Tour de France (in the mountains of course) in support of Cyclists Fighting Cancer.

On 8th July, we will be setting off from Albertville, and attempting to get to La Toussuire, 152 kilometres and 16,000 feet of climbing away, inside the time limit, which we expect to be about 10 hours.

Some will be attempting to put in a strong performance, others just to survive the experience and reach the finish. Either way, we all have several months of hard training to complete before we can even consider success, so your donations and words of encouragement will be essential in ensuring we all have the impetus to continue up that next hill.

Follow our progress at www.twotours.blogspot.com

Since our training started, sadly two of our members, Tony Donaldson and Simon Bridge, have fallen by the wayside due to accident/injury, but they are still very much part of our fundraising team. Charlie Yorke has joined up to swell our numbers back up to 9 riders on the day. Please dig deep and put the pressure on us to achieve a 9/9 success rate on the Etape.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep, flash the cash, or get texting and donate now, it really does make a difference, both to CFC and to all of us.

Thank You
