South Africa has millions of orphaned and vulnerable children, often due to HIV/AIDS, this is added to every month. LIV Village Durban aims to provide long-term cluster foster care for children, creating a solution to this crisis.The children are placed into the LIV family, with a trained foster mother to care for them, a school to educate them, and where they are given every opportunity to flourish, before they are released as 'stars'.

We are 4 students from the LIV4Change Discipleship School who are interning in the marketing department at LIV Durban. After spending 6 months on the village and getting to know the LIV children we would love to bless them with birthday gifts which they may not otherwise receive.

Through working in the marketing department we have come to understand the challenges of raising funds for the day to day running of the village meaning that the village is not in a financial position to be able to provide birthday presents for the 176 children under their care. The village as been lucky enough to receive sponsorship for the last 12 months of birthday presents although this ends in June. 

With your help we would love to raise money to provide the children with birthday presents for the next few months. The village tend to spend around £10 per child, to purchase such things as headphones, gift vouchers, dolls, toiletries and lego.
