Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am walking the Lairig Ghru on 26th May. The Lairig Ghru is a 19 mile hike from Coylumbridge to Braemar, crossing through the central Cairngorms and reaching an altitude of 835 metres. The terrain is changeable and it will certainly be a challenge to someone who struggles to walk the length of himself.

I am doing the walk in conjunction with One 4 Kids, which is the charitable arm of the company i work with One Solution. Each year the company chooses a charity and all of charitable efforts for that year are aimed at raising money for the charity. This year's chosen charity is the Catalyst Foundation in Vietnam.

The Catalyst Foundation was set up in 1999 and focusses on improving the lives of children who may be orphaned, abandoned and/or homeless in Vietnam. It is a humanitarian organisation that supports community programmes to provide basic needs, job opportunities, counselling and education to prevent the trafficking of young children and those who may be forced into prostitution, while living in extreme poverty in Vietnam.

If you would like more information on the Catalyst Foundation and the great work that it does please visit the charity's website on http://www.catalystfoundation.org/

The aim for the charity walk is to raise £10,000 overall to assist with the cost of building more houses in Vietnam and assisting the Catalyst Foundation with its costs of educating young children and trying to improve their lives.

I am very keen to play my part in raising money for this worthwhile cause and your support would be very much appreciated. It's going to be a challenge for me but it will be all worth it if I know that my efforts have improved the life of someone else.

So please dig deep and donate now.
