Eugenie's You Gotta Love Vultures

You Gotta Love Vultures · 3 June 2013
In Asia the Vulture population has been reduced by 97% due to the use of diclofenac in cattle. This is a catastrophe. During five years treatment for breast cancer I was regularly treated with this medication and it made me feel better, it is so sad to think that so many majectic birds have died due to the careless use of this drug which entered their food chain through cattle. Vultures serve a necessary purpose in the eco system of Asia and prevent the spread of disease by cleaning up any carcasses. I would like to do a limited edition run of 100 A4 prints of 'A Painting Concerning Suffering' (which is on my photos page) selling for a minimum donation of £10.00 + 1.95 post and packing minimum total £11.95. For 1000 pounds a safe haven can be built to help preserve the species which is currently dying out faster than the Dodo.
The painting is not meant to be morbid, it is a painting that is designed to awaken compassion for the suffering that we as human beings create in the pursuit of a quick buck. I would be so over the moon if I could raise enough funds for the RSPB to build a safe haven. It would mean the world to me to make a difference with my art
