This is their story;

Haiti Hospital Appeal was established in 2006 to bring lifesaving health care to one of the poorest nations in the world. We were on the ground in Port-au-Prince within 48 hours of the earthquake. We took our ambulance into the ruined capital city and gave out the aid we had carried with us on our seven hour journey from Cap Hatien.

We will continue to provide whatever care possible through this route and bring back as many refugees as we can fit in on the return journey. Many more will arrive at our centre over the next weeks.

We were running health services in Cap Hatien for three years before this disaster and we were planning to open our hospital later this year. Events have overtaken us and although we only have one of the six buildings complete we have put two of these into immediate use and are seeking urgent funds to complete the rest as soon as possible.

Our experience with working and living with the Hatian community has given us a unique relationship and we are trusted and respected by the Haitian Government and health authorities.
