Story
I'm currently training for the biggest goal of my life, a marathon, and not just any marathon the formidable Snowdonia Marathon.
I wanted to do a marathon that would be a huge challenge both physically and mentally and after seeing my husband and two brothers completing this a few years ago I was overwhelmed at what a huge achievement it is.
I'm raising money for a charity that is important in my family - Help for Heroes - with two close family members actively serving in the forces and my husband rejoining via the TA, I wanted to raise money for a charity that recognises the bravery of the serving men and women and support needed by our Armed Forces. Whether you agree with the conflicts that are going on today or not, these people work hard everyday to ensure our little island is safe.
As for me, I'm a mum of two gorgeous children - Amelia (4) and Tom (nearly 1), I work full-time and train inbetween the non-stop commotion that is family life. I'm supported by a fantastic husband, Phil, who understands the highs and lows of running and after questionning ourselves regularly as to why we do it, the answer is always 'because I can, I will and I want to live my life to the fullest'.
