Treloar’s is a UK charity offering education, therapy, and care to 180 physically disabled young people aged 4–25. We create a supportive, inclusive environment where students with complex clinical needs can learn, grow, and gain independence through tailored programmes.

Story

Hi everyone

Thanks very much for taking the time to look at our page and hopefully for making a donation. Me and Jonesy are putting our strength and stamina to the ultimate test and taking on the Mens Health Survival of the  Fittest Challenge in Cardiff on October the 4th.

Jones and I will be trying to overcome what is probably the world’s longest obstacle course. Spanning a staggering 10KM, each of the major obstacles will be thrown at us every 1 KM.  Ranging from 3m tall hay bales to 1KMs worth of stair climbing in the home of Rugby, the Millennium Stadium!! :) In fact one of the obstacles, about 5KM into the race, is an Army grade obstacle course complete with (who I imagine will be very encouraging) Army officers!! More information about the event can be obtained following this link; www.mhsurvival.co.uk.

All of this is in aid of a great locally based Charity, Treloars. For those who don’t know what they do, Treloar School and College provide a unique blend of education, medical care, therapy and independence training for young people with complex disabilities. Students from age 7 to early 20's attend from across the UK and beyond. Of which in excess of 90% use wheelchairs, 40% have little or no speech and a further 20% have a life-limiting condition.

In order to continue the great work and support they offer children up and down the country, Treloars needs all of the financial support possible so please donate as generously as you can. If you would like more information about the important role they play in many young peoples lives please visit: www.treloar.org.uk.

Thanks again for reading the information posted above and hopefully making a donation.
