<p>Well instead of getting drunk one more time at the pub, I've decided to ask you to help me support one of my top favourite London spots, the RAF Museum in Hendon (as well as the IWM collection at RAF Duxford).</p> <p>I've spent countless of hours in there, both by myself and with my young son, admiring these amazing flying machines and learning a great deal about the history and technology. It takes a huge and costly amount of effort to preserve and restore these aircraft and vehicles, and this work is performed by volunteer enthusiasts.</p> <p>Each machine is a rare piece of British and World history and deserves to survive as the heritage of future generations. I am hoping that the museum will carry on keeping its doors open free of charge and that its huge, welcoming, aviation fuel and lubricant scented hangars will always offer to everyone the possibility of making the most of a rainy Sunday morning.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
