Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Page.

Some time ago my husband and little boy's (30 this year) father died and since then I've done various things to raise money, such as the London Marathon (raised £2.5K) and Sky diving etc. When I read Hannah's story (some of my new found friends since moving to Somerset) actually knew her and what a brave fighter she was, I felt inspired and now that the Wobbleberry challenge is coming up I think it's something I have to do.

I've wanted to ride a BE80T event for the last 3 years.

I bought my Appaloosa, Spot, when I was still far too green for a spirited horse like him. He soon realised I didn't know what I'm doing combined with a few other issues, I kept being bucked off. In fact in my first BE80T XC Training session up north I was bucked off 7 times in the space of 1 hour. I stopped wearing air jackets, sorry tackshop owners, as I just couldn't afford the cartridges.

Anyway, life is all about being knocked down and getting back up again and grow stronger and anyone who knows me, knows how determined I can be. My horse Spot and I have come a very long way. A lovely special friendship is developing between us (my horsey friends know what I'm talking about) and we really want to join the Wobbleberries Challenge to make a difference.

I hope you will join my friends and I by raising money to make a difference to as many suffering people as we can and improve their quality of life!

About the charity

The Charity was established by talented horse rider, Hannah Francis, following her diagnosis with the aggressive form of bone cancer, osteosarcoma. People all over the world followed Hannah's story which she told through her mascot, Willberry. Tragically Hannah passed away at just 18 years old.
