BUPA Great Manchester Run 2012 · 20 May 2012 ·

The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

My dear friends,

I am taking my stilettos off once again to relive the running experience and extend the initial challenge! Between working and PhD-ing I have teamed up with Autism Aware UK to take part in two events:

Bupa Great Manchester Run 2012 -Sunday 20 May – 10km

Great North Run - Sunday 16 September  - Half Marathon

This time I am not running London parks in the snow. This is not about my efforts; it is about supporting the amazing work that the National Autistic Society does. They need our support to invest in research to unravel the mystery about Autism but most importantly to support children as well as their families to overcome their barriers and live a fulfilling life.

Autism stays with you for life, it is selfish, it can isolate you and keep you locked in its own world…… But we can help you open the doors and make your world part of ours….

During this challenge I also want to get in touch with teachers for children with Autism, the front line heroes and hear their views https://surveys.brunel.ac.uk/efficacy

So please dig deep, donate now! 1000 is just the first short term target...

To infinity and beyond we are going again, come and join!

Thank you,

Evelina
