Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In March 2010 at the ripe "young age" of 60 I hope to successfully Summit Everest at 8900 meters. It will be an incredibly strenuous climb for which I have been training daily with 22kgs on my back.  Some people will say I am mad but it will fulfil a dream; but in addition it will also give me the opportunity to help Disadvantaged Children..

I am lucky to have a healthy son but many children, even today, are disadvantaged in many ways.

Last time I raised money driving from to in a single car for Children in Crises, which was recognized by Top Gear.

This time I am supporting the Openwork Foundation which raises money for hundreds of such children both in the and overseas e.g.-

1. Children's Hospices in , as well with schools for Disadvantaged Children.

2. Schools built for the children of Manila, scavenge and living on the stinking rubbish dumps of the city, giving over 1,000 children the chance to break away from poverty, child labour and child prostitution.

 3. Helping kids in ; the money paying for a year’s annual food supply and equipment for children using an educational camp.

I am determined to reach the summit both in my climbing and in my fund-raising so please sponsor me if you are able to. It means a lot to me and helps Disadvantaged Children.

Many thanks in anticipation.
