Since 1965 we've helped people find a life beyond homelessness & addiction. Embedded in East London, we provide places to stay, address the complex causes of addiction, run classes to help develop skills, confidence & build vital social connections and help people establish a lasting recovery.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit out JustGiving page*.

On Friday 9 October 2009, a team of 8 enthusiastic Eversheds employees will be competing in an Apprentice style charity challenge!

Our Challenge

Our task is to spend a day working in a Spitalfields Charity Trust (www.sct.org.uk) charity shop in London's East End with the aim of increasing the shop's average daily takings by as much as we possibly can!  Whichever team has the greatest percentage increase wins!  We are going to go all out with decorating the shop and holding various in-shop events and promotions throughout the day to help increase our takings.

In line with this, in order to raise as much money as we possibly can for SCT, we are looking to raise funds through other means prior to challenge day so please dig deep and donate now!

The Charity

We will be working to help the Spitalfields Charity Trust (www.sct.org.uk) which aims to offer a range of high-quality support, rehabilitation and training services to people facing problems of homelessness, alcohol, drugs, poverty or social isolation.  The charity is solely funded by donations and does not receive any type of grant or government assistance.  In order to operate for one year, the charity must raise between £200,000 and £300,000.

*Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
