Story

On Sunday 29th May, thirteen rambling rogues from Corby will be attempting the 154Km (96 mile) hike between Glasgow and Fort William following the West Highland Way or Slighe na Gàidhealtachd an Iar

This long distance trial will take us 6 days to complete and will test us all to the limit, passing through lowland forests and remote mountainous regions in the Scottish Highlands.

We are walking in aid of the Lakelands Daycare Hospice in Corby and are hoping to raise £1500.

Lakelands Hospice (Charity Reg. 1062120) provides respite day care facilities for adults in North Northamptonshire, South Leicestershire and Rutland. Since opening in 2001, the Hospice has helped over 2000 families in the area and continues to grow in order to meet the great need for respite day care. The Hospice relies entirely on voluntary donations and support from the community to remain open. In 2011 Lakelands needs to raise in excess of £450,000 to keep its doors open.

We are walking our socks off and we need your help to raise our target for this excellent cause.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Rambling Rogues are:-

Anne Jackson, Paul Jackson, Evey Jackson, Darren Thoirs, Katie Thoirs, Isobel Loakes, Jayne McGregor, Graham Miller, Brian Crawford, Emma Long, Valarie Bell, Eddy Straighton, Jimmy Campbell

So if you know any of these people then get your cash out and donate to help Lakelands continue its great work.
