OUR TREKING MISSION

Go beyond anything we have ever done before and trek from Lukla to Kala Patther (which is actually higher than Everest base camp!). Treking some awesome mountain scenery amongst 8 of the world’s 14 highest peaks but keeping an eye out for the Abominable Snowman!  It will take us 11 days to cover over 120km in order to climb to Everest Base Camp (height- 17575 ft) from Lukla (height- 8694 ft), then onto the summit of Kala Patther (height-  18192ft) which overlooks base camp as well as having excellent views of Everest summit.  To put this into perspective, the highest ‘mountain’ in Wales is Snowdon at a height of 3560ft !!

We will be doing this next October, which is 15 years (and 9 days) after Ann-Marie’s dad passed away due to prostate cancer, which means this will be a very emotional trip as well as being physically challenging.  So we do hope that you will support us as much as you can.

SO . . . . . . . WE NEED YOUR HELP

Obviously fundraising will be big part of our year to come and any amounts you may be prepared to help us with, big or small, as sponsorship or by taking part in any of our upcoming events means a huge amount to us.  Every penny counts.

There are other ways you can help us as well, for example do you have any interesting fundraising ideas we may be able to incorporate to help us reach our goal?

Also, in order to complete the mammoth trekking part of this challenge we have an enormous amount of training to do.  Do you have any ideas of where we can go for our training walks/treks?  Would you like to come with us on any of our training walks (we can all get fit together!!).

Lastly, and possibly the most important of all, when we are tired, and have achy muscles and are thinking what have we done!!! please remind us of the amazing adventure we are undertaking and the fabulous cause we are undertaking this for and keep pushing us forward.  Your support will help us to get up there, all 5545m/18192ft of it!
