Dear Family and Friends,

On February 27, we will be running the Tokyo Marathon in support of Friends of Child Protection (FCP). 

FCP is a small charitable organization that helps young victims of abuse in South Africa.  Statistics show that in South Africa, a violent crime is committed against a child every six minutes.  When these terrible acts occur, FCP provides "comfort packs" to the children, which include, among other things, a stuffed animal, a snack, and even a change of underwear.  Experience has shown that this small act of kindness has a significant impact on the lives of these children. 

FCP also funds carefully-vetted Specialized Organizations within the Child Protection System and Grass Roots Organizations, both of which provide protection and education.  You can find more information about FCP on the website, Friendsofchildprotection.com.  And please click on our 1 minute video (upper right) to get a better sense of the beauty of this organizaton.
