Story

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: NSPCC gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I have now done the walk and I managed to complete the course. Conditions were very poor and I took a tumble on my way down Ingleborough Massif but I still completed the challenge in 10 hours 45 minutes. I will be excepting donations for a few weeks yet as I chase up pledges, so please make a donation if you can.

Photos of the walk can be found HERE.

The 25 mile hike takes you through natural woodlands, valleys, viaducts and gorges and climb the pinnacle of the Ingleborough peak to enjoy one of the best views in England. Ingleborough stands at 2373 ft and is perhaps Yorkshire's most famous "flat-topped" mountain. The 25 mile walk has to be completed within 12 hours.

More information can be found HERE.

It's roughly a 2 hour drive from here to the starting point and since the start time is 6am I will have to be up around 3am to get there on time. So I'm guessing I might be a bit tired by the time I get to the end of the hike.

I've never done a walk like this before and I am putting my all into raising as much money as I can for the NSPCC so I would really appreciate it if you could help me by making a donation and passing on the web address to anyone who you think may like to sponsor me.

Please use the following url when posting or emailing a link to this page, www.justgiving.com/fcarr

I've set myself a target to raise of a minimum of £200 but obviously I would love to smash that target and raise as much as possible.

So please make a donation of whatever you can afford, every bit helps, and pass the url around your friends and online communities.

Thank you very much for your help, together we can make a difference to a child's life.

Frank

I have designed some posters to be displayed at workplaces and shops and so on. If anyone would like some of the posters to put up in their area then please contact me. I can either email you the file to print yourself or post you some in the mail if you let me know how many you need. You can email me at Sponsored.Walk@FrankCarr.co.uk

A massive thank you to the "Time For Lunch" sandwich shop in Birkby, Huddersfield, for their brilliant effort in collecting sponsorships for me this week. A special thank you to the owner Faber and my sister Sharon for the effort they have both put in. Thanks girls!
