Hello! We're taking part in the Big Walk 2018 – a marathon-length walking challenge through the Peak District on 22 June – to raise money for the University’s £2M campaign for the "Sheffield Scanner", a ground-breaking MRI-PET scanner facility which will be the first of its kind in Yorkshire.
The Sheffield Scanner will play a crucial role in advancing medical research in the region but also contribute towards diagnosis and treatment for patients suffering from cancers, heart disease, diabetes, strokes, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. The appeal is well over half-way to its target already but we really need your support to help us reach the goal of £2million. So please, please donate to this fantastic cause which will have a terrific impact for everyone in Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and beyond!
Thanks,
Laura and Mark
