Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time away from the doom of financial markets to visit FT Alphaville's JustGiving page. We understand you are busy reading about when Greece is going to leave the eurozone, so we especially appreciate you taking the time out.

The London team likes jogging. (Note: Just because we 'like' it, doesn't mean we always find the time for it. Basically we're pretty slow... but at least we jog rather than walk... but we have been passed by walkers... who look like they're in their 80s... it's embarrassing.)

We also love you, the readers, the Rabble, and your comments (most of the time). A lot of the Rabble are located in the Wharf, so we thought we'd come hang out with you, while jogging. Let the pain of a 10k be a bonding experience for us.

So why not take part in the race, and wave "hello" to us as we struggle around the track? And please do donate money to the British Heart Foundation to show your support.

At the moment, it's David, Lisa, and Masa running. We might try to rope in some more FT journos though... I bet what would encourage them to do so is raising a lot of money for the BHF. (nudge, nudge)

See you there!

Lisa, David, and Masa
