**UPDATE**
It's all over. Phew. Managed to complete the course in just seconds over an hour and, more importantly, have raised the grand sum of £1304.50 for The Stroke Asssociation. Many many thanks to all of you for sponsoring me and for inspiring me to cross the finish line - that was a lot of money to have hanging over my head!
All in memory of my Uncle John, whose stroke three years ago inspired me to do this in the first place, but who unfortunately passed away last week. Rest in peace John.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Those of you who know me well will no doubt laugh at the thought of me attempting to run 10K - I'm finding the prospect quite hysterical myself to be honest; I was built for comfort, not speed. But I'm determined to do it and will hopefully will raise some cash for the Stroke Association in the process. I chose this particular charity as several members of my extended family have been affected by strokes over the last few years and I have seen how truly devastating it can be for all concerned. So, if I can manage to drag my fat backside round the mean streets of Boro I'm sure you can manage to prise your credit card from your wallet and sponsor me...
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
