Having been ardent video gamers for many years we, in the past year, have had our eyes opened to the joys of tabletop gaming and how it can bring everyone closer, both as a family and a bunch of friends.

Since then we have become avid "tabletoppers" as well as videogamers and decided to be a part of International Tabletop Day. This takes place on April 11th Worldwide and was started by Geek and Sundry.

As we were keen to take part in the Tabletopping festivities, we wanted to do it for a good reason and decided to raise some money for a little known but excellent charity called Special Effect. We have come across them at gaming conventions and believe as they do that gaming should be accessible to everyone. We will be gaming as solidly as possible between 9am and 9pm on Tabletop Day and we were hoping to raise at least £100 to give Special Effect for our efforts.
