Story

Hi Everyone!

A slightly tipsy family party promise has actually turned into reality, as a dozen members of the same family will line up at the Great Manchester Run on 26 May.

We're coming together to support the Leading Light campaign, founded by our cousin/brother/son Dom who is trying to raise £1million for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research before the Rio Olympics. You can find out more about the Campaign, including how to get involved, at www.beatingbloodcancers.org/dom

The runners:

- Matt Goggins

- Theresa Goggins

- Paul Goggins

- Wyn Goggins

- Mark Brennan

- Luke 'the chef' Brennan

- Liz Goggins

- Rebecca Goggins

- Sam King

- Jake King

- Isaac King

We are a variety of shapes and sizes, but we have all at times been labelled 'looney', 'nutcase' or 'bumping weight' by our own grandfather so we can cope with anything you throw at us.  Some of us are looking for a special time, others are taking a big step just by starting, but we're all committed to the same goal - helping to beat blood cancer.

We're dedicating this run to Steven Blears, who died aged 19 of Leukaemia and is the inspiration behind the Leading Light campaign, and Carmel Bartley, Wyn's sister who died of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma aged 30 in 1992.  Since they both left us, enormous strides have been made in diagnosing, treating and beating blood cancers.  We want to make that progress real for everyone so please be generous and donate what you can.

Thanks!

The Goggins/Brennan/King Families
