As you are all aware, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2008. The effects of cancer are devastating, not only to the person going through the very harsh treatments but also for all your loved ones. It was the toughest time of my life. Over the past  seven years many close friends and immediate family have had to deal with a cancer diagnosis. Statistics now say 1 in 2 will be effected with some type of cancer.  I'm one of the lucky ones, living and loving life. Running the Marathon is a huge challenge for me but one I really want to achieve, my marathon partner Andria  Loizou is a friend that I have known for many years and is the one that  has inspired me to Run the marathon. The training is getting harder and harder each week but we still look forward to getting together and running.

 Breakthrough Breast Cancer is a charity that hopefully one day will stop our mothers, daughters, sisters and loved ones suffering or losing their life from this terrible disease.
