Story
Described by the UN as being amongst the most persecuted people in the world, over 800,000 Rohingyan people have been left without shelter and protection from the recent violence in Myanmar.
Evicted, tortured and killed, these people have no media coverage. They have no one to voice their cries... except us. Charity is the third pillar of our faith. Like a building with it's foundations complete, it will be strong. And by fulfilling the third pillar we can strengthen our Iman.
The Burmese Muslims or Rohyngyan or Rakhine Muslims are a large minority group in Burma who are subject to Ethnic cleansing by the Burmese government and radical Buddhist monks. The Rohyngyas have had little media coverage, they're invisible to the world, suffering in silence, and it is our silence that is prolonging their sufferingl.
What this page aims to do is to gain moment for the cause. We have set a goal of £800,000 but inshallah we hope we can exceed that. The money will be going to Islamic relief Myanmar Appeal. Anyone can donate. As humans we have a moral obligation to help our fellow brothers and sisters in humanity
"The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 604"
