I took part in the Asics British 10K London Run 2011 on 10 July to raise money for the World Medical Camp for Libya www.wmclibya.org  and it was the least glamourous I have EVER looked! Loving all the mentions of gorgeous...

  

The WMCL is a charitable organisation I helped to set up to address the escalating humanitarian crisis unfolding in Libya and to respond to the urgent and immediate need for medical aid in Libya with half my family including my father and grandmother in Libya - this was a very personal challenge.

 

I had never even run for a bus before so you can imagine my pride now at having run 10K in 80 minutes - only days before I had had to have a joint popped back in place so I was a bit battered from the experience but it was truly one of the most personally fulfilling challenges of my life.

 

 

I've started a blog to keep myself on schedule and sane http://farah-fabstar.blogspot.com/ but I apologise in advance for any typos - it was part of the training programme to test my mental ability post run.

 

I am fully aware of how tough times are and how many requests we all get so won't be offended if you don't sponsor me - a message of support will do!
