Dear All,

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have *unlimited* amount of character space to explain why you should give as much as you possibly can towards this cause!!

1. RHND is a fantastic hospital with unique aims and second-to-none care

I first came across the Royal Hospital while at school; our lovely R.S teacher used to organise annual Fun Runs for the patients across Wimbledon common. (We dressed up as Goths) Later on, i started volunteering to help with Saturday's Bingo sessions. I was there for a good year. There are so many moments from my time there that i still reflect on; Meeting a patient with my sisters name once crops up to remind me that my patients now are someones sister, brother, mum, grandparent, dad.

Since I've started work, I really value that support and care that is provided by places like RHND. It's nice to think that while I may be somehow helping to correct someones 'numbers' - their haemoglobin or white cell count, that the RHND is a place where patients needs and wishes are actively sought to the degree where people give up their time to organise events, bingo sessions, day trips that do make all the difference to patients who may have suffered a road traffic accident, or by some stroke of genetic misfortune, developed a neurological disease.

2. I started training while fasting

Actually i started thinking about the L.M  18months ago, i've done two 10k runs since then, but electives and finals somehow got prioritised (you cannot run in Borneo, although i made Phabs walk 3k every day to our hospital). This year though, i really thought it through and started running in September, which coincided with not eating. It was tough.

3. I can rely on you to support me!

Thank you for all the support over the years;  with charity week collections, sponsored silences, the sponsored seven bridges event, the 'Circle Line Chase', the tug of war, sumo-wrestling, British 10k, the Cancer Research run, Flora Light Marathon, cake sales, mehndi-painting, fashion shows, the annual dinners and fundraising auctions. I really hope you don't have giver-fatigue yet!

So many of you have helped so much, and so consistently..I need you now to really dig deep and give what you can please! I will sponsor myself for another silence!

4-100. I've got to go for a run now...please give generously

Thank you

JazakAllah Khairun
