My story

On 16 September 2011, Fay, Jayne, Karen, Nicki, Nicky and Pat will be setting out on the 7th Maggie's Night Hike - a 20-mile walk through late-night London!

 

Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres provide free emotional, practical, psychological and professional help to people who are affected by cancer in its many forms.  Sufferers and their families are welcome any time at eleven specially-designed centres dotted around the country. 

 

The sad reality is that we all know somebody who could have benefited from the resources at Maggie’s, or who might do so in future.  For us this includes the very special and much-missed John Whymark, who would no doubt have found the sight of his wife, daughter, nieces and their friends traipsing through the capital in the middle of the night wearing matching t-shirts and pained expressions very funny indeed. 

 

We would be grateful for your sponsorship, however small.  Every single penny that is donated goes straight to Maggie’s to help them with their incredible work.
