Tens of thousands have fled their homes, walked for weeks in search of food. Many young children have died along the way. And all of the Somali refugees arriving in Kenya and Ethiopia are exhausted. Between 40 per cent and 50 per cent of the children are acutely malnourished.

£50 - provide clean water to 1000 people

£100 - provide emergency food to 100 families per day

£100 - maintain 100 animals for a month for food and income

£ 150 - feed 10 malnourished children for a month

I have taken up a challange to Mount Snowdon trek on 03/04/2011 in order to raise atleast £5000. All funds raised will go to Alkhair foundation to build a Masjid (Mosque) in flood effected area of Pakistan.

 

Hadith: "Whosoever shares in building a masjid for Allah, even if it is as small as a bird’s nest, Allah (S.W.T.) will build for him a house in Paradise." Imam Ahmad
