Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am cycling from London to Paris with a few friends in September (Alison, Andrea, Dawn and Karen). It will be 300 miles over 4 days. None of us have ever cycled this sort of distance so it's a real challenge for us! It's almost definitely a mid life crisis of some kind...
We have come a long way since we started our training - we appreciate just how hilly the Chilterns are and some of us even know how to mend a puncture now! Our preparations have been going well although with the rain we have probably spent more time on static bikes than we should have (Karen more than any of us since she broke her finger!). As we approach the end of the training we are aiming to cycle an average of 100-120 miles per week. I fear that once we have done the ride I may never want to see my bike again - thank heavens for padded shorts!!!
I am raising money for a charity very close to my heart. Living Paintings is a small UK charity which provides an amazing service to blind and visually impaired people. It has a library of books and other works containing raised images and audio tracks which bring books to life for its members. In order to continue to provide this service it needs funding. Anything you can donate will make a massive difference to them - so please, please donate!
Here's the blurb...eDonating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
