Myself and Padraig are trying to raise money for the RNLI, the Irish and British Lifeboat charity.
These guys do extrodinary work, saving peoples lives by putting their lives on the line. My father was a shipping agent and had a lot of dealings with the RNLI over the years, hence me picking this charity.I'm a Blyth Spartans fan and a colleague of mine a Celtic fan came up with an idea to travel from the Bro. Walfrid statue in Ballymote to Blyth Spartans ground using as many modes of transport as possible. The reason why we are linking Celtic with is that our supporters club is named after an Irishman Mick O’Brien who played for both clubs.
Basically we hope to leave Ballymote in the North West of on Wed 11 Nov and travel to Croft Park Blyth Sat 14 arriving by a deadline of 3 p.m. for their home match that day using 11 different modes of transport.
