Sparks raises money to fund pioneering child health research across the UK, helping to find new treatments and cures for children and families who desperately need them.

Story

<p><span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 13px;"> </span></p> <div style="text-indent: 0px !important;">In the <span style="color: #ff0000;">last 8 weeks</span> I've&nbsp;<strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Climbed Mount Kilimanjaro</span></strong>&nbsp;&amp; stood at the highest point in Africa and&nbsp;<span style="color: #ff0000;">walked</span> over <strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">broken glass and hot coals</span></strong>&nbsp;which has already helped me raise &pound;4500.00 for <span style="color: #ff0000;">SPARKS,</span> the children's medical research charity.</div> <div style="text-indent: 0px !important;"></div> <div style="text-indent: 0px !important;"><strong>Now its time for the final challenge</strong>, I'm taking on&nbsp;<span style="color: #ff0000;">Paris, well 26.2 miles</span>&nbsp;of it, on the <strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">1</span></strong><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>0th April</strong> I'm going to be running my first <strong>Marathon</strong>...&nbsp;</span></div> <div style="text-indent: 0px !important;"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><br /></span></div> <div style="text-indent: 0px !important;"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><span style="color: #000000;">The End is in sight, 6 months of training through the best the english winter could throw at me, snow, ice, freezing temperatures &amp; then rain, rain, rain &amp; a little bit more rain, finally the days are getting longer &amp; Paris is just around the corner.&nbsp;</span></span></div> <div style="text-indent: 0px !important;"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><span style="color: #000000;"><br /></span></span></div> <div style="text-indent: 0px !important;">Training has been incredibly tough, not aided by altitude sickness on Kili and various injuries along the way, many tears have been shed &amp; of course numerous miles run, doing 3 1/2hr training runs on your own takes the idea of positive mental attitude to a whole new level.</div> <div style="text-indent: 0px !important;"></div> <div style="text-indent: 0px !important;">I've been overwhelmed by the love &amp; support I've already received, but I'd really love to raise another &pound;500 so I can hit my target of donating &pound;5000 to this incredible charity.
