Re: Date change to Land’s End Dance Marathon

LearnBurma hereby confirms that the our Land’s End charity Dance Marathon, the culmination of my dance from John o’Groats to Land’s End and due to be completed on 13th October 2012, was officially postponed due to injury sustained in a hit and run on 3rdOctober 2012.

The driver who caused the incident has been officially charged on three counts (driving three times over the legal drink & drive limit, failing to stop at an accident and failing to report an accident) and will appear in court on 19th October 2012.

Participants  due to take part  in the Land’s End charity Dance Marathon have the choice of two

courses of action:

(1) They take part in the rescheduled Land’s End charity Dance Marathon – Saturday 1st December 2012; or

(2) Organise with myself their participation in a subsequent marathon event at  an agreed date and location in 2013.

Whichever course of action is taken, the following conditions apply:

A. All existing funds / sponsorship raised by each participant will be carried over to their rescheduled event;

B. All funds raised will be distributed between the five original beneficiary charities –

LearnBurma, Amnesty International, Burma Campaign UK, Partner’s Relief and Development, and Prospect Burma – following completion of their event

So we will be running, just a little later than we originally expected.

Love Fi, Tim & Kate......
