<p><strong>Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my fundraising page.&nbsp; I'd love you to get behind this great project which is happening in May 2012.</strong></p> <p>On 5th May I will be cycling 50 miles from Leeds City Centre through to Sheffield City Centre along the length of the Trans Penning Trail.</p> <p>I'm doing this in order to raise money for the Woodthorpe Action Day on May 12th.&nbsp; We'll be gathering together over 100 volunteers to carry our three projects designed to improve the area for local people.</p> <p><strong>Project 1 - The Big Clean-up</strong> - over 50 volunteers transforming the green spaces, getting rid of litter and all sorts of things that make the place look untidy.</p> <p><strong>Project 2 - The Big Clear-out</strong> - Over 40 volunteers carrying out an excerise to make the local Fishpond an area where local people can come and enjoy some peace and quiet.&nbsp; Clearing out the pond and installing public seating.</p> <p><strong>Project 3 - The Community Shop</strong> - We'll be supporting <a href="http://www.woodthorpedt.co.uk">Woodthorpe Development Trus</a>t by helping them to make their new shop garden safe and sound.&nbsp; Woodthorpe Development Trust is a key community organisation delivering services in the Woodthorpe area.&nbsp; It has recently taking occupancy of a community shop which needs some urgent attention to turn it into a place where local people can come and chat, get advice and help and learn to do live well.</p> <p>Funds will go directly into buying materials for the Woodthorpe Action Day in order to make a real impact on these areas just in time for the summer.</p>
