Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Nobody should have to say goodbye to their baby, yet too many families have to do so each and every day of the week.
At 4.04pm on the 26th September 2011 our angel Finlay Reece Gott was born. Sadly he never got to meet his Mummy and Daddy or big Brother Lewis as he had passed away hours before his arrival. We are heart broken at our loss and simply have to take one day at a time. However we are lucky to have such a strong support network around us in our friends and family. We have also been able to take comfort from SANDS, a charity which offers support, councelling and advice for families who have suffered the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or cot death. There are going to be times which will affect us more than others, christmas, easter and Finlays first birthday. But I don't want to spend my little boys birthday sulking around wondering what could have been, I want to make Finlays first birthday count for something more. And that is why I am going to run a double marathon from Tadcaster to Bridlington South Beach, a total of 51 miles. I will run the distance in one go as opposed to stages which will begin at 6am on 26th September 2012 and aim to be in Bridlington by 4pm. My aim is to raise a minimum of £15,000 for SANDS so that less families have to suffer the loss we have. I will update my page and a weekly basis with photos and videos so you can follow my progress throughout the next year, I will earn every penny of your donations. And thank you in advance for your help and confidence in my challenge.
