The Bobath Centre is world-renowned for the treatment of children with cerebral palsy. Our aim is to give children the opportunity to get the most out of life by improving their quality and range of movement. We treat 300 children a year and see the widest range of the condition in the UK.
What can we say other than a very BIG thankyou to everyone who donated, participated and sourced onward sponsorship also. We’ve smashed our target which means Finlay can take advantage of additional Bobath treatment beyond that initially planned – he heads down for first couple of weeks treatment in a couple of weeks.
Mel and I are so grateful for the colossal response we’ve received. I don’t do soppy, so I won’t, but seriously we couldn’t have imagined so many friends cared so much about our son.
Over £4,500 as I write this note plus gift aid takes us to over £5,600 – simply amazing.
My great friends Chris, Madsy, Roy and Jake along with Chris and Martin all completed the 100-mile (103 actually!!) in a respectable 7hrs 11mins. Enduring hills, curbs (Madsy), clueless marshals and of course rain, the gang all made it safely back to a rapturous fan-base comprising well-wishers and non-believers, but more importantly Finlay with his beaming smiles – made every mile worthwhile for us all.
