Marathon Double Bubble

In 2002, I was foolish enough to run my first London marathon. I have run every London marathon since then and on the 17th April I shall be running my 10th consecutive London marathon. This would have also been my 19th marathon, but that did not seem right so I have entered the Brighton marathon one week before on the 10th April. Hence I shall be running two marathons on two consecutive Sundays in order to make my 10th consecutive London marathon my 20th ever marathon.

When I planned this madness I also decided that I would do an even more intensive training plan and go for a marathon personal best at Brighton. However I took an injury at the start of December and was unable to run again until the start of February. These would have been the key training months and I am now hoping to complete Brighton in about 4h30min.

I had always planned to run London with Maria, who is completing her 3rd London Marathon, at her pace. So we are hoping for about 6 hours at London.

I am sure you know the reason why I am supporting St. Thomas' Lupus Trust; but just in case the reason is here on Seanas Page. Details of all of my existing 18 marathons are here on my running page. Of course you may care to sponsor Maria instead so here is Maria's page

There is still no cure for Lupus but there are some very promising new drugs which may treat it. The money you donate will be used to fund research into treating, and someday possibly curing, Lupus.
