We are raising money for CLAPA (the Cleft Lip and Palate Association) by running a half marathon in Wellingborough on 30th October 2011. All money raised will go to the Cambridge branch which has provided all Henry's care, and Sam's most recent operation; and which looks after cleft patients all over East Anglia.
We are committed to raising money for CLAPA because of our two gorgeous boys, Sam (Fi's husband, Bex's brother) and Henry (Fi's son, Bex's beloved nephew), both of whom have benefitted from CLAPA's help and support.
Sam was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, and Henry a unilteral cleft lip. Sam had his (hopefully) last cleft related operation in June 2009, and Henry had his lip repair in June 2010. Henry is signed off until pre-school when his lip will be assessed for any need for a further operation.
The whole family has benefitted from the support CLAPA provide and we are so grateful. We would like to raise money so that they can continue their good work, and help other children and families.
