Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was hit by the Asian tsunami on boxing day 2004 and lost my right leg as a result of my injuries. Since then I have had access to the best medical care and the best prosthetic legs available. Sadly, I am the exception rather than the rule and there are still many many people with disability in Asia who do not have access to the same level of care as I have had and who struggle to overcome the challenges that this brings. For this reason I am going to run the London 10K on 11 July 2010 to raise money for the Cambodia Trust. The Cambodia Trust trains prosthetists and orthotists from developing countries all around Asia so that they can help provide disabled people in their countries with the practical means to live normal lives. It also runs programmes that help give disabled people in Asia the mental power and skills that they need to get on with their lives.
