My husband Matthew and I decided to create a Fundraising page for ECPAT UK ( you can check them out on www.ecpat.org.uk.). ECPAT campaign and lobby to protect children from sexual abuse and explotation in the UK and overseas. ECPAT is part of an international network working to protect the rights of children in this way. ECPAT UK was the first organisation to undertake research that showed children are trafficked into, within and out of the UK for sexual exploitation, forced labour, forced marriage, illegal adoption, domestic servitude, benefit fraud and participation in criminal activities. Matthew and I both feel that the trafficking and explotation of children must be one of the most fundamental evils in the world. All children deserve to be loved, cared for and protected, and not to have to suffer in these terrible ways.

We would like you to support us and ECPAT with our sponsored weight loss over the coming year to August 2010. Between us, we need to lose 60 lbs ( Matthew with considerably less to lose than me, I have to say ! ) Our aim, apart from supporting ECPAT is to get fit and healthy, and then maybe we can do another event like the wonderful people who climb mountains and do walks for ECPAT !
