It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

I recently turned 29 and with the big three zero looming I decided to dedicate the year to raising as much money for Pancreatic Cancer as possible. Ive devised / accepted 30 challenges which I have to undertake over the next 12months. Some of them would be on my bucket list and are purely for enjoyment while the others will truly push me out of my comfort zone. The most challenging will be running the London Marathon in April 2016. Eeeeeek!!!

Throughout the year I will be blogging about each challenge to keep people updated on the trials and tribulations of destroying your body in aid of charity. Luckily I've roped some friends into completing most of the challenges with me. 

The 30 challenges before 30 are:

  • Run the London Marathon in April 2016
  • Spend 3rounds in a ring with former British Kickboxing champ
  • Go a month without drinking alcohol
  • Cycle the Olympic Velodrome
  • Learn to play golf well enough to 
    get a decent handicap
  • Cycle the Outer Hebrides (100miles)
  • Eat a whole plate of rocket
  • Complete a Tough Mudder
  • Complete a Team Triathlon
  • Climb Ben NevisLearn to play chess
  • Swimathon – 200 lengths
  • 26 mile walk over Lewis / Harris
  • Volunteer one day a month for a
    year
  • Set up charity golf day in memory of Jim
  • Walk the London Walking Marathon
  • Cycle  London to Brighton (54miles)
  • Complete a Colour Run
  • Run a charity cancer 5k with Caitlin
  • Learn to ride a horse
  • Go a month without eating sweets / chocolate
  • Learn the guitar & play a song at my 30th
  • Drive a super car round a race track
  • Learn to cook & host a dinner party that doesn’t poison people
  • Go to New York (bucket list tick) and complete a Man v Food challenge
  • Learn to surf and actually stay standing
  • Learn to play a song on the Piano
  • Compete in open water swim team triathlon
  • Come out of football retirement and play a season with ladies team
  • Climb the London O2 (I hate heights)
